Wild Rose - Technique #7

Wild Rose Technique #6
shown on a candy jar, vase and egg box.

../wildrose technique

Mix Wild Rose with equal amounts of Clear Satin. Stir well. Apply three smooth, even coats of glaze mixture to both inside and outside of the bisque piece you have chosen. Allow glaze to dry between coats.

Pour a small amount of Light Wine Concepts and Bright Wine Concepts onto a tile or palette, in two separate puddles. Add a bit of water if needed to make a smooth consistency. Use a TB730 round brush to paint both light and bright flowers, scattered in a pleasing fashion, on your bisque (see photo). When dry, use the Bright Wine Concepts on the Light Wine flowers to add shade to the flower petals. Use Dark Wine to add shade to Bright Wine flower petals. Add Light Brown centers to each flower. Use Light Wintergreen for leaves around flowers.

Use a TB727 liner brush and the Black Concepts to apply detail lines to flowers, flower centers and leaves. When dry fire to cone 06. No Clear glaze is needed over your detail painting.

The Wild Rose gives the background a soft pink sheen which enhances the pink of the flowers. Tiny specks of black and pink add further interest.
