Technique #17 ~
You will need an appropriate cone 04 bisque
plate and the following products: |

1.Wipe bisque dust off using a damp sponge.
2.
Apply 3 coats of Blue glaze to the entire plate, drying between coats.
3.
Trace pattern onto contact paper. Poke a hole in the center and carefully cut
out the deer. This makes a stencil.
4. Line stencil up carefully so that
deer is not tilted or too far to one side. Stick the stencil down, being sure
inside edges are well sealed.
5.Apply 2 coats of White Cobblestone to deer
pattern. Apply 3 very generous coats of Cobblestone (to get better covereange
than we did) to the outer rim of plate. Allow to dry thoroughly between coats.
Be very careful handling the plate as the Cobblestone has a tendency to flake
off after drying.
5. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
Try this
idea using other simple patterns you may already have on hand and other colors.
Looks pretty cool, doesn't it? You could try a white Christmas tree on a green
or red plate. A white Easter Bunny on a pink plate. The possibilities are
endless!
Right click on deer to
copy and paste it into your paint program.
Note: Enlarge or reduce this
pattern to fit your plate.
