Technique #16 ~
More Elements and Cascade
For this technique we
used Mayco's Fern Vase and a combination of Mayco glazes
You will need an appropriate cone 04 bisque
vase and the following products:
S2128 Mocha Ice EL102 Sandstorm
PC602 White Cascade PC601 Clear Cascade
Obviously, we are hoping you will learn from
our mistakes! In the following directions we tell you to be sure and stop 2"
from the bottom of the vase. We got a bit closer than that - as you can tell
from the pictures. The flow of colors is beautiful though.
1. Apply 3
coats Mocha Ice to inside and outside of vase. Allow to dry. 2. Apply 2
coats Sandstorm over Mocha Ice, stopping about 2 from bottom of vase.
Allow to dry. 3. Apply 2 coats White Cascade over Sandstorm, again being
careful not to get too close to the bottom. 4. Now add one coat of
Sandstorm over White Cascade. 5. When dry, add one heavy coat of Clear
Cascade over Sandstorm, stopping about 3 from bottom. 6. Finally add
one final coat of Mocha Ice over Clear Cascade. 7. When dry, stilt and fire
to cone 06.

own tastes! |
