Technique #14 ~
You will need an appropriate cone 04 bisque
plate and the following products: |

1.Wipe dust off of bisque using a damp sponge.
2.
Using your favorite glaze brush, apply 3 coats of Sea Spray glaze to the entire
plate, front and back, drying between coats. Hint - Leave the 'foot'
unglazed if you would like to dry foot the plate. This means you will not have
to use stilts during firing. Just make sure that any part of the plate which
touches the kiln shelf is left unglazed.
3. Apply 2 coats Tidal Pool
over entire plate, omitting foot.
4. This is the 'accidental' part
of the technique. Apply one coat of Ruby Creek to the top side of the plate.
Using a damp paper towel carefully wipe the dark glaze back off of the plate,
allowing it to stay here and there, and in the crevices.
5. Apply 1 coat of
Tidal Pool over entire plate.
6. Dab White Cascade heavily along edges of
plate and down the center.
7. Stilt and fire to shelf cone 06.
