Technique #13 ~
Chip Paint Plate
You will need an appropriate cone 04 bisque
plate and the following products:
NTG9018 - Lagoon Blue glaze (any nice
dark blue could be substituted) NTG9341 - Chip Paint (see note
below) Soft fan brush Liner brush |
 Technique #13
|
1.Wipe bisque dust off using a damp sponge. 2.
Apply 3 coats of Blue glaze to the entire plate, drying between coats. 3.
Trace pattern in center of plate. 4. Apply 2 coats of Chip Paint NTG9341 to
the tree branches. Apply 3 coats to the hooks of the ornaments. Apply 3 very
generous coats of Chip Paint to the ornaments and the rim leaving the very edge
of the rim thin (just 1 coat coverage). 5. Stilt and fire to shelf cone
06.
Note: Sorry! The last of our Chip Paint is gone and
we are no longer stocking any Gare glazes. Don't Despair! We think this
technique would be great using Mayco's White Cobblestone over Mayco's
S2116 Mosaic Blue..... and, since the
pattern is a Gare pattern, it might be best to find a new one! We are on the
prowl to find the perfect pattern for your use.
