Insider Tip - Ceramics and Music
"Hi: You may wonder what ceramics has to do with music. A LOT.
I was doing some work in my room that I share with another art teacher. She was
playing some very easy listening music and her students were very busy creating
and hardly talking. Wow, did that hit me. So when my little ones came in, I
asked the other art teacher if she would mind if I used her CD player. She
didn't mind and so I put on the same easy listening music. The kids just
settled right down, no screaming, hardly any talking but, a lot of creating.
Not only did this calm them down, it calmed me down too.
I'm now getting
request from the kids of CD's they would like to listen to. Thank goodness I
have a plethora of music. I have a degree in music so of course I do have a
large collection. The adult classes love it. I don't feel so guilty anymore
about working one on one with a student because, the others are creating. For
the best, I might add. I don't do the Christmas music until December 1. Just an
idea for teachers and ceramists. I've found my self just lost in some of the
projects I do. Just a suggestion and have a great holiday."

shipments will be the 20th.
As usual, you will be able to place your
glaze orders through our shopping cart during the time we are closed. We will
resume shipping orders on January 2nd, when we return.
