#1 Looking for a great color to glaze those Easter Bunnies this year? How about white chocolate? We used Mayco's Ivory Cream Satin S2201 and love the look.
#2 Want the secret to that glittering metallic look available from your Copper Adventurine EL121 glaze? This tip came from Mayco - Use a good fan brush to apply four heavy, flowing coats of EL121 Copper Adventurine to your bisque. The heavier application will give you that beautiful rich glittering look shown in the Mayco pictures.
With so much bad news happening in the ceramic molds world it
makes us very happy to be able to pass along some good news. There is a new
website called Ceramic Mold Hunters. (Find the link on our
Molds Links page.) Last year Gary Starr
purchased (saved!) Teddy Bear Molds and this year his work continues. He now
owns part or all of these additional mold companies - Bil-Mar, Brush Country,
Byron, Crest, C-Ramics, Ceramichrome, CJ, G&C, McRon, Marco, Mayco, Mikes,
Provincial, PCM, Peeples, Scioto, Shade Tree, TJ, TNT, Vicki, Western, Yozie
Jewelry, Yozie Regular, Nancy and ICCO.
So, if you've been searching for
a particular old mold, there is a chance it is still available. Check out this
new website. Find the link on our Molds Links
page.
As promised! Our APT-II tips continue -
APT-II
levels lead free glazes! Glazes have a smoother application with less
drag, pinholes and streaking. All you need is 3 - 4 drops of APT II Ceramic
Enhancer per ounce of glaze. Try it!
