Holiday Hours
Thanksgiving -
Creative Glazes will close on Wednesday
November 22nd and reopen on Monday November 27th. We won't be here to fill and
ship your orders during that time, but will start shipping again on Monday when
we return. We'd like to wish you all a very safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
Christmas -
This year Creative Glazes will be closed from
December 22nd through January 1st. We will reopen on January 2, 2007. No new
orders will be filled during that time. However, you can place your orders to
be filled in January when we return from our Holiday break. We will fill orders
and begin shipping again on January 2, 2007. The last day to place your orders
and have them shipped before the holiday is December 21st before 12:00 pm EST.
Technique Tip
"For a super interesting look, apply one coat Mayco's EL106 Tidal Pool over two coats EL103 Sea Spray. Another great look results from applying White Cascade PC602 around the edges of your piece, over E107 Turtle Green. The results are stunning." Oops! That should have been E107 Tortoise! Not Turtle Green. Sorry for the error.

APT-II Ceramic Enhancer Tip #2
APT-II Slip Mixture for attaching & mending -
Add APT-II
Ceramic Enhancer into slip until it begins to thicken (just do this to a small
portion of slip!). If slip mixture becomes too thick, thin back by adding more
slip. Do not use water. Unused slip mixture may be stored in a sealed container
for a few days.
Now that you have your mixture, you can use it to
attach handles and other add-ons while the greenware is still wet.
Another great idea is to use the slip mixture to mend stress cracks in
bisque. Simply fill the stress cracks with the APT-II slip mixture. Clean
excess with a cleaning tool and allow it to dry as usual. Then refire using the
proper cone.

Mayco has announced that they are discontinuing a number of their molds. Check the Mayco website to find out which molds are going to be discontinued and how to get them before they are gone.
