* Ceramics Insider Tip ~ Drybrushing Concepts on Fired Ceramics

Many of you have done Drybrushing on acrylics, but did you know you can drybrush using Concepts Underglazes, too? The new Concepts Washes - Berry, Indigo, Wintergreen, Chicory, Licorice and Cinnamon - were designed for shading and detailing over any Concepts color. Here is how to use them:

Base coat your ceramic piece with your choice of Concepts color, either solid color or the new Flannels with tiny flecks of color. Then, load a dry fan brush with your choice of Concepts Wash, blot on a paper towel to remove drips and excess color. Lightly brush Wash over desired areas for an antiqued look, just as if you were Drybrushing acrylics.

It's that easy! You can also use the Concepts Wash with a liner or round brush to shade or add detail to a design. Or lightly sponge the washes over detailed areas to create the look of antiquing. Give them a try soon!
