* Ceramics Insider Tip ~ Using French Dimensions
There isn't enough written about French Dimensions! This is a wonderfully versatile product that can add dimension and excitement to your ceramic projects. Here are the Basic Instructions for using French Dimensions:

1. Apply directly from the squeeze bottle to greenware or bisque.
2. Maintain a steady squeeze pressure.
3. Do not touch the bottle tip to the ware since this may cause the French Dimensions to flatten.

Try one of these ideas -

Technique #1 - Lightly sketch a simple butterfly on your greenware, adding detail lines and antennae. Now use your black French Dimensions and go over all those lines. This will make your basic outline of the butterfly in black. Fire to cone 04. Now use Concepts Underglaze for Bisque or Envision Glaze in your favorite butterfly colors to fill in those outlined areas. Some areas should be color and some should be black. Detail or shade the color areas with EZ Strokes or Concepts. Cover with clear glaze and fire to cone 06.

Technique #2 - Apply three smooth even coats of your favorite Envision glaze to bisque. When dry, add French Dimensions dots, swirls and wavy lines all over in a contrasting or matching color. Fire to cone 06.

Technique #3 - Paint your pattern (flowers, bunnies, etc.) using Concepts Underglaze for Bisque. When dry, use French Dimensions to outline and highlight your design. Cover with clear glaze and fire to cone 06.

Technique #4 - Use French Dimensions to write on a mug or plate. Spell out Happy Birthday, Congratulations, birth information for a new baby, etc. Cover with clear glaze and fire to cone 06.

The uses for this product are endless and the exciting part is that they come in so many beautiful colors. Give French Dimensions a try and let us know how you like the way your ceramic masterpiece turned out!
