Courtyard Art Glazes

Experience the true magic of fired ceramics with new Courtyard Art Glazes. Courtyard Art Glazes reflect the warmth and richness of a rustic courtyard setting. They are available in eight beautiful colors that come in 4-oz. jars and pints. Depending on application and firing, the results will vary--but the look is always interesting, artistic and unique every time. Courtyard Art Glazes can be brushed, sponged, spritzed, butted, and used with nontoxic Crystal Glazes. Fire to 06.

Note: Courtyard Glazes were designed to result in different textures, some have a bit of shine, some do not. Different applications will give you a unique piece every time.

Additional tips for using Courtyard Art Glazes from Duncan

  
  Courtyard Art Glazes are formulated with texture and specks. For best results, use an inexpensive, soft bristle glaze brush to apply the glaze to detailed bisque.

When working on a smooth surfaced piece, sponge the glaze on for the first coat. This will eliminate brushstrokes, especially on the pastel colors.

Apply Courtyard Art Glazes over designs painted on with Concepts. The designs will push through for an interesting effect. Concepts can also be spritzed, spattered and painted over Courtyards for another look.
